How to Draw Bart Simpson

For those who love The Simpsons I am here to teach you how to draw the beloved son Bart in 9 steps. The Simpsons are fairly easy cartoons to draw. The focus more on shapes and roundness then specific details. Here are the basic steps to drawing Bart.

1. Draw a big circle for the eye with a dot in it. Then draw a simply round long nose.

2. Now draw the other eye the same size just above the nose but touching the first eye.

3. Adding the mouth is easy. Just draw the upper lip from the nose then a lil curve down, then to the left draw a curve over to the eye and add a line on the end to create the smile.

Step by Step 4-6

Step 4 Draw the bottom mouth and neck

Step 5 Add the forehead

Step 6 Draw the back of the head
Step 6 Draw the back of the head

Now that you have a basic face of Bart its time to work on the head.

Step 4. Draw a line down from the mouth then curve it to the left and then curve it downward. This is the bottom lip and neck. Almost like a snake shape.

Step 5. To draw the forehead is easy. Off of the right eye drawing upward, draw a small hump for the eyebrow and then continue a slight curve upward to the top of the head.

Step 6. Draw the back of the head by drawing a curved line from the top to the eyes and then leave a gap for where the ear will go, then a curved line to the left for the other side of the neck.

Step by Step 7-9

Step 7 Add the ear

Step 9 Re-adjust the picture
Step 9 Re-adjust the picture

So far we have the basic image of Bart. Now it's time for the finishing touches.

Step 7. Drawing the ear is simple. The ear is located between the eyes and the mouth in that gap space that you left in step 6. Simply draw a C shape and then add a little T shape inside of that, but remember to make it slightly rounded.

Step 8. The last piece of Bart that is missing is his hair. Keep in mind that Bart has 9 spikes on his head. So draw in 9 little spikes between the top points of his head.

Step 9. Now that you are done drawing Bart Simpson, take a look at it and compare it to a picture of Bart. Making any additional adjustments to make it better. (i adjusted his mouth, lower lip and spikes.)

Well you have just learned how to draw Bart Simpson, now go and show all your friends!
